| MEKA CITY: This is a humorous story but it also recaps on the dire situation facing the city in the aftermath of the war.Dredd is sent to quell a robot rebellion in the South sectors of the city while problems are abound in the rest of the city and the judge forces are depleted by over 50%. Leader of these robots is Preciouse Leglock a former wrestling droid a jewel encrusted showdroid if there was ever one.The finale of the story sees Dredd's showdown with leglock and his ability to go through the pain barrier in the line of duty. |
| FUNGUS: The radioactive rad pits in the city caused by the war allowed the growth of a mutated fungus parasite which turns it's victims bodies into living fungi.Eight tramps unwittingly stumble across the fungi among them the former mayor of the city Jim Grubb.When infected the victims begin to sprout mushroom fungi omn various parts of the body and eventually succumb to the parasite and send spores out to infect others, usually through death of the victim.Chief judge Mcruder has to lie to the victims as there is no cure for the infection and the lives of the citizens are paramount to the lives of the victims. The ending was changed as originally Mcruder was a little more brutal when it came to revealing the truth. |
