I was born and brought up in the North East of England but spent some
of my childhood in Africa. My career began in theatre design having loads
of fun as a prop maker and spending much of my time working in
London. I studied Pottery and Ceramics at Bristol
Polytechnic and I have been working as a professional ceramicist for 10
years now. As a single mum I work when I can.
I decided to become a potter beacuase from the age of 5 I loved making mud pies at the bottom of the garden and have had a lovely, messy time working with clay ever since!
