Welcome to the Springfield Play Group
The Springfield Playgroup was founded by Elaine
(pictured left) in 1991 with seven children. It is now running at full capacity
with 18 children and a waiting list. Pre-school groups provide companionship
and play opportunities which are not always possible at home. The children
get a wider experience of the world and develop self-reliance and learn to
share with other children. A variety of play activities are provided such
as painting, gluing, dressing up, reading, playing with dough. All activities
are supervised at all times by trained staff, one of whom is trained in 'Special
needs'.
Our group is registered with the Department of Social Services and is covered by the Pre-School Learning Alliance National Insurance. We meet on Mondays,Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning. The fee is £3 per child per morning and children should be 2 1/2 years old and out of nappies.
